The Kathmandu Metropolitan City has stated that the locals have obstructed the disposal of garbage in Bancharedanda even today.

On Tuesday, the locals had stopped garbage trucks from entering the area saying that the city officials had not coordinated with the locals and that their demands hadn’t been met. The police even arrested some locals from the area for causing obstructions.

Garbage has not been collected from Kathmandu Metropolitan City and Lalitpur Metropolitan City since May 28.
