With the World Cup almost over, the return of club football is just around the corner. Despite international football dominating the TVs, domestic football as still continued to create headlines due to transfer talk.
Liverpool have been amongst the talk more than most clubs. With several players linked with a move to Merseyside playing in the World Cup, it’s fair to say the fanbase has kept a close eye on the tournament.
Liverpool have reportedly approached Benfica and Argentina central midfielder Enzo Fernandez with a contract offer.
It was reported earlier this week that the Anfield outfit have made initial contact with Fernandez over a potential move, with the January transfer window approaching.
Benfica do not expect him to leave in January, although they do expect to sell him in the near future, with the summer a possible window for interested clubs.
