Real Madrid cruised to a comfortable victory over Celta Vigo, 4-1, in LaLiga's second week of the season and the club's first game since Casemiro's expected departure for Manchester United.
Real Madrid took the lead thanks to a penalty for handball by Tapia in the 13th minute. Karim Benzema did not miss it and scored his first goal of La Liga 22/23.
Just ten minutes later a similar play took place but this time in the opposite box to the previous one. The Galician striker Paciencia headed a ball that touched Militao's hand and Gil Manzano awarded a penalty. Aspas, like the French striker, scored the equaliser from the penalty spot.
Ten minutes into the second half, Real Madrid extended their lead on the scoreboard thanks to a great counter-attack. Modric found Vinicius with a long pass and the Brazilian, after a long run and dribbling past Marchesin, pushed the ball into the net.
A few minutes later Valverde scored the fourth for the Real Madrid. Tchouameni recovered the ball and found Vinicius with a long pass, the Brazilian on the left flank made a pass to the right wing where the Uruguayan beat Marchesin with a shot across the goal.
