Germany will play hosts England in the final of the 2022 Women's European Championship after two goals from Alexandra Popp gave them a 2-1 victory over France in Wednesday's second semifinal in Milton Keynes.
Striker Alexandra Popp scored twice, reasserting herself into the Golden Boot conversation with her fifth and sixth goals of the competition. The second, a header off an arcing cross by Svenja Huth, broke a first-half deadlock. Germany fended off several promising attacks in the second half to punch its ticket to another final.
