AS Roma's new signing Paulo Dybala has broken Cristiano Ronaldo's record for shirt sales within 24 hours in Italy.

As per Corriere dello Sport, the 28-year-old's transfer to Roma has created a different vibe in Rome as the fans are going crazy at the moment following the news of the former Juventus player playing for them next season. 

Dybala, who was linked with a transfer to Serie A side Inter Milan after his deal with Juventus expired, has signed a three-year contract with Roma. The deal is worth 6 million euros ($6.14 million), Italian news agency ANSA said.

Dybala is a five-time Serie A winner, but has struggled with injury in recent years.

He made 29 appearances in the league last season but only managed to score 10 goals.
