Now it is not possible to import smart mobile phones above 300 US dollars.

The government has extended the period of ban on import imposed from Baisakh 13th to Bhadra 14th and made more strict on the import of mobile phones.

The government, on the proposal of the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supply, has decided to extend the ban on imports from Baisakh 13th to Bhadra 14th with modifications.

Earlier, when the ban was imposed on Baisakh 13, smartphones worth up to 600 dollars could be imported. Now it has been modified to make 300 dollars.
