Five parties have stopped vehicles movement in Achham today in protest against the police for not arresting the accused in the incident in which 15-year-old Binod Shahi of Panchadeval Binayak Municipality-4 of Achham was found dead.
The CPN-UML, Maoist Center, Unified Socialist, Rastriya Prajatantra party and Biplav-led CPN (Maoist) have stopped vehicles movement in the district adding that they will shut down traffic for two days on Sunday and Monday.
A joint statement issued by the five parties states that they were forced to close public transport completely on July 3 and 4 so that the culprits does not get escaped on the pretext of power and authority.
Though the victim has lodged a FIR against 13 people, including Panchadewal Binayak Municipality Mayor Ambika Chalaune, police have not arrested all the culprits but only five.
The Binayak Municipality Mayor Ambika Chalaune is also on the list of fugitives.
Five parties have also accused the police administration of neglecting the Shahi's murder case .
