NASA Administrator Bill Nelson has expressed concern that China is preparing to "Takeover" the moon as part of its "military" space program. In an interview published in 'Build' on Saturday, Nelson said that the United States is in a space race with China this time.

In 2035, he iterated, China will complete construction of its own Moon station, and will launch several moon programmes. The 79-year-old NASA administrator acknowledged that the American space administration has, in fact, been "very concerned" about China's landing on the Moon and its agenda of hijacking the Moon

Nelson said everyone should be concerned about China's arrival on the moon, adding that now China will have the right to do so. He described China's space program as a "military space program" and said competition for the moon's south pole was intense. He said the potential water could be used to produce rocket fuel in the future.

Asked why China was emphasizing space programs, Nelson made serious allegations that Chinese astronauts were learning to destroy other countries' satellites. Nelson has been a vocal critic of Beijing's ambitious space program for peaceful purposes.
