Transport workers in Biratnagar went on strike on Monday morning after Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) increased the price of fuel.

The corporation has increased the price of diesel and kerosene by Rs 27 per liter and petrol by Rs 21 per liter from Sunday night.

After the price hike, the price of a liter of petrol has gone up to Rs 199, while the price of a liter of diesel and kerosene has gone up to Rs 192.

Public transport workers have blocked the road at Rajbashi Chowk on the Koshi Highway in protest of the price hike.
