President Vidyadevi Bhandari has expressed interest in the State Partnership Program (SPP) agreement proposed by the United States.

"I will not do anything against the national interest, knowingly or unknowingly," President Bhandari told reporters during a discussion on the SPP. Some journalists affiliated with CPN(UML) Press Chautari had met President Bhandari on Tuesday.

In a conversation with reporters, President Bhandari had expressed concern that the government had not spoken a single word about changing the non-aligned foreign policy but had not done so in practice.
