Leader of the main opposition party CPN-UML Dr. Surendra Pandey has demanded the resignation of Finance Minister Janardan Sharma for involving unauthorized persons in tax rate manipulation.

Stating that the government has not responded to the issue of policy corruption in the tax rate, Pandey urged the Speaker not to move forward with the proceedings of the House until the matter is clarified.

However, after the Speaker said that he had drawn his attention to the UML's demand, the proceedings of the House have moved forward with conditions.

As soon as the meeting of the House of Representatives started on Tuesday, the UML MPs got up.
